AKRON, Ohio - For years, football and golf fans in Northeast Ohio have had to choose between two of the region's premier events, typically scheduled for the same first few days in August:
* Head to Canton for the Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement Week, a kickoff to the NFL season and a tribute to some of the titans of the game.
* Or drive to Akron to see some of the world's top golfers compete in the World Golf Championships-Bridgestone Invitational, one of the nation's premier golfing events.
This year, officials in Canton and Akron are making the choice easy: Come to both.
