Cleveland Browns release LB Paul Kruger, look to young players

The Cleveland Browns made 13 roster moves on Monday, trimming their roster to 76. They must make one more move by Tuesday to get to the NFL-mandated limit of 75 players. Here’s a closer look at the first cuts:

Most significant move: The release of linebacker Paul Kruger was an eyebrow raiser. He joins Karlos Dansby, Donte Whitner and Barkevious Mingo as significant players who depart with Sashi Brown and Hue Jackson in charge. Kruger's numbers suffered in 2015 with the move to strong side from weak side, but this season his role would have changed again.
