CLEVELAND: At least one Browns running back would welcome Ray Rice’s presence should the team decide to sign him to bolster the running game.
Terrance West, who is battling Isaiah Crowell for the top running back position, has few qualms about bringing in the former Baltimore Ravens running back, who has not played football since being reinstated after serving a suspension for a domestic violence incident. Rice punched his then-fiancée in the face, apparently knocking her out prior to last season. Video cameras caught the altercation and the ensuing controversy engulfed the NFL and commissioner Roger Goodell.
Referring to Rice as “my guy,” West, a Baltimore native, said: “I hope he gets a second chance no matter where he goes.
