Both starting safeties, two of their best linebackers, and a slot corner were among the many names let go by Cleveland Browns general manager in the 2020 offseason. Whether it was due to being released or just not coming to terms on a new deal, general manager Andrew Berry allowed several key pieces to their defense walk.
Granted, that defense struggled mightily in 2019. They're also switching to a new defensive coordinator, who might prefer different types of players. Whatever the reason, the Browns have some players to replace, and they won't all be seamless transitions.
