In late January, ESPN’s Seth Wickersham released an article that pulled back the curtain on some of the more embarrassing portions of Jimmy and Dee Haslam’s tenure as owners of the Cleveland Browns. Now a few weeks later, reports are surfacing that Jimmy Haslam’s other company is backing out of a deal with the network that ran the story.
Haslam is the CEO for Pilot Flying J, and they have now pulled the plug on a multi-year advertising deal with ESPN — with the critical story being at the core of why the arrangement is now off.
