Cleveland Browns News: Christian Kirksey move saves $7.5 million

On Tuesday, the Cleveland Browns made some headlines for two pieces of news. One was the appointment to the position of NFLPA president for center J.C. Tretter. The other news wasn't as pleasant as linebacker Christian Kirksey was released.

The team tried to convince him to take a pay cut but in the end, they decided to simply let him go in a cap-saving move.

With Kirksey out, it leaves Joel Bitonio as the longest-tenured member of the Browns. Both players joined the team in 2014, and Bitonio is the last man standing.
