Other times, it can be used to send a message — which was the case on Tuesday. After reports surfaced that running back Duke Johnson still wanted to be traded, Mayfield made his feelings on the matter really clear.
The second-year quarterback said that either you’re with the team, or you aren’t and that any awkwardness for Johnson is “self-inflicted.
