When the Cleveland Browns selected Austin Corbett at No. 33 out of Nevada, there were several eyebrows raised. He played tackle at college and the Browns needed a left tackle after Joe Thomas retired, however, Corbett wasn’t expected to be the answer there.
Instead, he was destined to play guard due to his build, but Cleveland didn’t have a need there with Joel Bitonio and Kevin Zeitler already on the roster. Because of their presence, Corbett sat his entire rookie season which he now says was hard for him due to his hunger to compete.
That hunger could get satisfied this season though, as Corbett now finds himself in line to start at right guard following the trade of Kevin Zeitler for defensive end Olivier Vernon.
