Over 50 area youth football coaches joined personnel from USA Football and the Cleveland Browns for a Player Safety Clinic inside FirstEnergy Stadium’s Kardiac Club Saturday morning.
Chuck Kyle, legendary St. Ignatius Head Coach and USA Football Master Trainer, preached the core educational principles of Heads Up Football alongside 5-year NFL veteran and fellow USA Football Master Trainer Ron Bellamy. The core educational principles of Heads Up Football include concussion recognition and response, heat preparedness and hydration, sudden cardiac arrest, proper equipment fitting, Heads Up tackling, and Heads Up blocking.
Kyle and Bellamy fed off each other throughout the entire presentation, answering every question presented to them and adding to the discussions with a number of touching personal stories that hit home with the diverse group of coaches in attendance.
