Cleveland Browns hire Andrew Berry as general manager

The Cleveland Browns are aiming to be, if nothing else, the smartest decision-making team in the NFL.

In a search conducted by Paul DePodesta, one of the architects behind the Oakland Athletics' run in the early 2000s, the Browns hired two Ivy League candidates as their head coach and general manager.

On Monday afternoon, the Browns officially hired Eagles executive Andrew Berry as their general manager.

In addition to being named the general manager of the Browns, Berry will also take on the title of Executive Vice President, according to Cleveland.
