BEREA, Ohio -- The odds are against the Cleveland Browns.
That was the reality Sashi Brown had to face when he took over as vice president of football operations on Jan. 3, 2016.
It's more than the Browns' 3-13 record in 2015. The team he inherited had the highest-paid defense in the NFL, yet ranked No. 27 in the league.
The Browns have had only two winning seasons since they returned in 1999. Fans know their team has been the worst franchise in the NFL for years.
Brown convinced owner Jimmy Haslam to build through the draft, and to take some risks to make that happen.
