With the No. 4 overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, the Cleveland Browns had to make a tough decision between cornerback Denzel Ward and defensive end Bradley Chubb. Both were reportedly similarily graded by the front office.
The tiebreaker ended up being their need in the defensive backfield, so they went with the Ohio State cornerback. And they weren’t disappointed.
Ward was twice named the Pepsi Rookie of the Week and ended up being named to the Pro Bowl as well. However, there were questions about his availability after suffering two concussions at the end of the year that cost him three games down the stretch.
