The Cleveland Browns were awarded wide receiver Shane Wynn off waivers on Friday, according to the team’s website.
Wynn was an undrafted free agent who signed with Atlanta following last month’s NFL Draft. In addition to the Falcons, Wynn reportedly received interest from Jacksonville, Indianapolis, New England, Houston and the Browns following the draft.
The 5-foot-6, 167-pound Wynn played at Cleveland’s Glenville High School before matriculating to Indiana. With the Hoosiers, Wynn started 36 games (out of 48 overall), and finished his finished his career in Bloomington, Ind., tied for second in catches (189), seventh in receiving yards (2,189) and third in receiving touchdowns (20) in school history.
