BEREA, Ohio – The Browns selected a pair of tight ends among their three sixth-round picks Saturday in the NFL Draft.
They chose Mississippi State's Malcolm Johnson with the No. 195 overall pick and USC's Randall Telfer at 198. The club also acquired cornerback Charles Gaines from Louisville with the 189th pick.
The Browns lost tight end Jordan Cameron in free agency to the Dolphins before adding Rob Housler on the open market. They waited to the sixth round to add two more tight ends and neither is considered a playmaker like Cameron.
In fact, the Browns plan to list Johnson as a tight end.
