Saturday was the day for the Cleveland Browns and the rest of the NFL to cut their rosters down to 53 players. As always, there were some shockers along the way.
Probably the most surprising was the move to waive defensive tackle Caleb Brantley. He was considered a second-round talent in the 2017 NFL Draft but fell due to off-field concerns.
Cleveland picked him up in the sixth-round and Brantley had a shot to make a case to be a starter following the trade of Danny Shelton. Instead, he found himself battling injuries and ineffective play — which subsequently led to his release.
