The Cleveland Browns began this year’s offseason with the firings of head coach Mike Pettine and general Ray Farmer and, once again, a new regime was put in place. This regime has stated a simple plan to rebuild an organization that has struggled to find success since its return in 1999.
Build through the draft.
The Browns have been trying to build through the draft ever since their first pick in 1999, when they selected quarterback Tim Couch from the University of Kentucky. Believe it or not, they have drafted a couple of good players, such as Mitchell Schwartz and Alex Mack, and even found a diamond in the rough in former undrafted free agent Tashaun Gipson.
