It’s never a fun day for players who are on the roster bubble as NFL clubs spent Saturday chopping their rosters down to 53 names. For the Cleveland Browns, that meant they released four players, waived 28, had three that they intend to send to IR, and three head to the suspended list — according to their official team site.
Before Saturday, they also made a move to send quarterback David Blough to the Detroit Lions, just one day after playing that very team. Blough played well but lost out to Garrett Gilbert and Drew Stanton as the backups to Baker Mayfield.
