CLEVELAND, Ohio — Former Browns running back Earnest Byner drove from Nashville to Cleveland Tuesday night to help rewrite the ending of Believeland, both literally and figuratively.
He will attend the Cavs championship parade in downtown Cleveland and exorcize a little more of The Fumble.
The curse is broken and The Fumble is just another dog-eared page in the saga of Cleveland sports.
"I feel like with Believeland and with the inner connection that's there, I feel like I need to be there,'' he told cleveland.com.
At some point during the parade, Byner will reconnect with the Andrew Billman, the producer of the ESPN 30-for-30 documentary Believeland, which chronicled the years of heartache in Cleveland sports: The Drive, the Fumble, The Shot, the World Series meltdown and so on.
