Browns wide receiver Travis Benjamin insisted throughout his breakout 2015 season he wanted to remain in Cleveland moving forward.
However, it looks as if the Browns are letting him slip away.
Benjamin plans to sign with the San Diego Chargers once free agency officially begins at 4 p.m. Wednesday, NFL Network reported.
The Browns are also in serious danger of losing their other three key impending free agents: three-time Pro Bowl center Alex Mack, right tackle Mitchell Schwartz and former Pro Bowl free safety Tashaun Gipson.
A fourth-round draft pick of the Browns in 2012, Benjamin started 15 of the 16 games in which he appeared last season, setting career highs with 68 catches for 966 yards and five touchdowns.
