After spending the first eight seasons of his NFL career with the Kansas City Chiefs, Bowe joined the Browns in March by signing a two-year deal, $12.5 million contract, which includes $9 million guaranteed. So far, he hasn't done anything to show he's worth the investment.
Bowe sat out the first two preseason games and the season-opening, 31-10 loss to the New York Jets because of a nagging hamstring injury suffered Aug. 4 in practice. He debuted with the Browns last week in a 28-14 win over the Tennessee Titans but played just eight of 49 snaps (16 percent) and finished with zero catches on one target.
