Browns WR Dwayne Bowe attends funeral of Chiefs fan

Betty Johnson, a Chiefs season ticket holder for nearly 30 years, recently passed away at the age of 86.

And even though Dwayne Bowe was released by the Chiefs earlier in the offseason, the current Browns wide receiver felt compelled to attend Johnson’s funeral in Missouri.

KCTV5 in Kansas City reports that Johnson, who sat in the front row near the 45-yard line, was beloved by players, who even nicknamed her “grandma.”

Family members of Johnson said Bowe kissed her before every home game – an emotional tradition. Not only did Bowe decide to fly in for the funeral, he stood up and said a few words.
