The Cleveland Browns decision to waive WR David Bell shortly after he had completed practice with the team on Thursday was a curious decision for sure. The fact that the Browns have not filled that roster spot just two days prior to Week 1 of the 2024 NFL season adds to the uniqueness of the decision to let go of Bell.
With players set to be inactive, Cleveland isn’t putting themselves in danger for the game this weekend but it is unusual for a team to go multiple days with an open roster spot during the season.
