Kareem Hunt’s sudden release by the Chiefs on Friday made waves around the NFL leading into the weekend. It came after the Willoughby, OH native was seen on video footage from February, assaulting a woman in the hallway of a local hotel. The incident was bad enough to make people wonder if he’ll every play football again or be exiled from the league like former Ravens running Ray Rice.
According to a report from Cleveland.com’s Mary Kay Cabot though, the Browns haven’t ruled out putting in a waiver claim for the 23-year-old running back. All 32 teams will be able to put a claim on Hunt starting Monday and 4 pm he could have a new team.
