BEREA: Peyton Manning will invade FirstEnergy Stadium on Sunday along with the second team he’s played for in his career, the Denver Broncos.
The problem is that he might be the least of the Browns’ worries. The Broncos arrive with the NFL’s top-rated defense. They rank in the top five in 10 defensive categories, including second in scoring defense — allowing 15.8 points per game — and first in sacks with 22.
It’s the latter that will give the Browns’ offensive line pause and force them to work extra hard throughout the game. Browns coach Mike Pettine had little problem anointing the Broncos the top defense in the league based on statistics.
