BEREA: Browns outside linebacker Paul Kruger played with five-time Pro Bowl defensive lineman Haloti Ngata for four seasons in Baltimore, and they won a Super Bowl together.
So when Kruger made an unsolicited comparison between Ngata and Browns rookie nose tackle Danny Shelton on Monday, the comment turned some heads.
“He’s just a big boy who can move, and having that presence there pushing the pocket, in that way, he’s really comparable to Haloti Ngata and some of the other guys who have really made a name for themselves pushing the pocket like that,” Kruger said after the 10th full-squad practice of training camp.
