When the Cleveland Browns went into the NFL draft weekend, there were some very glaring needs. One was the third tight end. GM Andrew Berry came away from the draft not selecting another tight end.
After the draft was concluded, he signed undrafted rookie free agent Treyton Welch (6’-3”, 241 pounds) out of Wyoming.

Currently, the Browns have Pro Bowler David Njoku (6’-4”, 246 pounds) as their starting tight end. Behind him is Jordan Akins (6’-4”, 245 pounds) who came to Cleveland last year on a two-year deal.
