Sunday’s developments
• The Browns announced defensive lineman Billy Winn was diagnosed with a sprained right ankle and “will be re-evaluated on a weekly basis.” Winn was carted off the field Saturday after suffering the injury during an inside run drill. The Browns also list him with a knee injury, but a team spokesman said the ankle is more of an issue. Winn’s X-rays were negative Saturday, but he underwent further testing Sunday, coach Mike Pettine said. Winn could have suffered the dreaded high-ankle sprain, which typically sidelines players for four to six weeks.
• Winn’s injury occurred less than 24 hours after Pettine praised him for his work this offseason.
