Saturday’s developments
• The Browns’ first practice in pads yielded a bevy of injuries, most notably that of defensive lineman Billy Winn. During an inside run drill early in practice, Winn suffered a right knee injury and was carted off the field. Coach Mike Pettine didn’t know Winn’s status immediately after practice but said the fourth-year pro would undergo an MRI or X-rays. Winn hinted he received some good news after being evaluated when he tweeted the following Saturday afternoon: “See you soon. #woofwoof.”
• Running backs Duke Johnson (left hamstring) and Terrance West (left calf) and defensive back Brandon Stephens (right hamstring) also suffered injuries.
