Monday’s developments
• Browns coach Mike Pettine reunited with Buffalo Bills coach Rex Ryan when their teams conducted the first of two joint practices at St. John Fisher College in Pittsford, N.Y. They were assistants together with the Baltimore Ravens for seven years (2002-08), and Pettine was the New York Jets’ defensive coordinator for four years (2009-12) when Ryan was their head coach. Ryan claimed he always had a hunch his protege would become a head coach in the NFL. The Browns hired Pettine last year.
