Tuesday’s developments
• Tight end Rob Housler dropped at least two passes during practice, and consistently catching the ball has been an issue for him throughout camp. It’s a concern because the Browns signed Housler, previously of the Arizona Cardinals, to a one-year, $1.76 million deal in April. The organization still hopes he can soften the blow of losing former Pro Bowl tight end Jordan Cameron in free agency.
• “I think that’s something that’s obvious that he needs to work on,” coach Mike Pettine said when asked about Housler’s drops. “The rest of his game has been solid, but that’s something that the ball gets thrown to you, you’ve got to catch it.
