The Browns have traded middle linebacker Demario Davis to the New York Jets for safety Calvin Pryor, a person familiar with the move confirmed Thursday.
Pryor, 24, was a first-round draft pick in 2014 who has started 38 of the 44 games in which he has appeared the past three seasons.
Davis left the Jets last year by signing a two-year, $8 million contract with the Browns as a free agent. Davis, 28, played all 16 games last season for the Browns and started 15 of them.
