According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Plain Dealer, the Cleveland Browns will be working out free agent defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins this week.
Hankins, the former Ohio State product, was a 2nd round pick in 2013 by the New York Giants. He played there from 2013-2016, starting 41 games. Last year, Hankins signed a 3-year, $30 million deal with the Indianapolis Colts. He started 15 games and registered 44 tackles and 2 sacks, but was released in mid-March. With Danny Shelton traded and Trevon Coley and Caleb Brantley nursing injuries, the Browns’ once-deep defensive tackle rotation is now quite thin.
