At 5-foot-8 and 167 pounds, Taylor Gabriel might be better suited to playing football in a neighborhood pickup game.
But the former Abilene Christian standout made gigantic contributions to the Browns last season despite coming to them last year as a tryout player during their rookie minicamp and earning a free-agent contract.
Gabriel certainly remembers that he came into the NFL without much fanfare.
“Of course, you always have to carry a chip on your shoulder,” he said after Sunday’s practice, “because I do feel like I got overlooked just because of my size.
