LONDON — The Browns traveled overseas in search of their first win of 2017.
They left the United Kingdom empty handed.
Cleveland watched a lead at halftime evaporate in a 33-16 loss to the Vikings Sunday afternoon at Twickenham Stadium. After an encouraging and spirited first half, the young Browns struggled on both sides of the ball and fell to 0-8 with the bye week approaching.
The Browns were outscored 21-3 in the second half, outgained 377-239 and ultimately seemingly ran out of gas in a game where their defense was on the field for more than 37 minutes
A turning point came when Vikings running back Jerick McKinnon scored on a go-ahead, 1-yard run that punctuated a long, backbreaking drive late in the third quarter.
