The Cleveland Browns signed wide receiver Davion Davis on Saturday.
The transaction comes a day after the club placed wide receiver Derrick Willies on the reserve/retired list.
Davis was with the Browns during mandatory minicamp in June, and general manager Andrew Berry and head coach Kevin Stefanski apparently liked him enough to give him a shot now that a roster spot has opened up.
The 5-foot-11 and 190-pound Davis originally signed with the Minnesota Vikings in 2019 as an undrafted free agent out of Sam Houston State University.
