Wide receiver Jordan Payton and linebacker Scooby Wright signed their rookie contracts Thursday with the Browns on the eve of the team’s rookie minicamp, a source familiar with the situation confirmed.
The source spoke on condition of anonymity because the Browns have yet to announce the deals.
Payton and Wright became the first members of the Browns’ massive 2016 draft class to sign. The franchise tied an NFL record by selecting 14 players two weeks ago.
Payton, a fifth-round pick (No. 154 overall), and Wright, a seventh-round choice (No. 250), received four-year deals.
