The Cleveland Browns signed tight end Connor Davis on Friday.
In a corresponding transaction, the Browns released tight end Kyle Markway, who had spent the 2020 season on the practice squad, to make a roster spot for Davis.
The 6-foot-8 and 271-pound Davis was with the New York Jets for a brief period in training camp in 2020 before being released. The Jets eventually signed him to the practice squad in Week 11 and he stayed there for the remainder of the season.
Davis played in 41 games with Stony Brook from 2013 through 2016, and saw action at tight end, offensive tackle and defensive end.
