It was overshadowed by the Jadeveon Clowney news, but the free agent defensive end was not the only player the Cleveland Browns signed on Wednesday.
The Browns also signed tight end Stephen Carlson and defensive tackle Sheldon Day, according to the team’s daily list of transactions.
Carlson, a tight end who has been with the Browns for the past two seasons, agreed to a one-year contract for $850,000, according to spotrac.com. The Browns tendered Carlson as an exclusive rights free agent earlier in this offseason.
Carlson has played in 25 games, making seven starts, and has six receptions for 62 yards and a touchdown.
