There is a new kicker in town as the Cleveland Browns signed placekicker Zane Gonzalez on Wednesday.
Gonzalez, who was selected in the seventh round of the 2017 NFL Draft, is the fourth of the team’s 10 draft picks to sign their rookie contract.
The Browns announced the move on the team website.
Gonzalez was the recipient of the Lou Groza Award in 2016, which is given to the nation’s top kicker. He was a first team All-American his senior year at Arizona State, a season that saw him convert seven field goals from more than 50 yards and finish 23-of-25 on field goals.
