The depth along the Cleveland Browns offensive line took a hit with the trade of right guard Kevin Zeitler and the subsequent elevation of Austin Corbett to the starter’s role.
General manager John Dorsey took care of that bit of business on Thursday by signing veteran guard Eric Kush.
Kush was a fifth-round selection by the Kansas City Chiefs and he spent two seasons in Kansas City. From there, he spent the 2015 season with the St. Louis Rams before joining the Chicago Bears in 2016.
His playing time had been limited before arriving in Chicago - Kush had appeared in just 10 games and made three starts in his first three seasons in the NFL - but he would go on to appear in 23 games (11 starts) for the Bears, primarily at left guard but with a little bit of right guard thrown in as well.
