Browns sign offensive tackle Ka’John Armstrong

The Cleveland Browns added another player to the roster on Thursday with the signing of offensive tackle Ka’John Armstrong.

The 6-foot-5 and 300-pound Armstrong has been participating in mandatory minicamp this week on a tryout basis. He essentially takes the roster spot of offensive tackle Desmond Harrison, who was released on Wednesday.

Armstrong in an undrafted free agent out of Eastern Michigan, where he made 12 starts out of 43 career games, including nine at left guard in 2016.

According to the Browns website, Armstrong “aided” an Eastern Michigan’s offensive line in 2017 that set a school record with 5,917 yards of offense and allowed the second-fewest tackles for loss in the FBS.
