The Cleveland Browns on Wednesday signed linebacker Jayson DiManche and defensive back De’Ante Saunders to the practice squad. To make room the roster, the club released tight end Brian Leonhardt from the practice squad.
DiManche is 6-1, 245-pounds and in his third NFL season out of Southern Illinois. Originally signed by the Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2013, he has appeared in 29 career games with one start. He has totaled seven tackles, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery on defense, while adding 17 stops on special teams. He spent the past three weeks on the Browns’ active roster, appearing in one game.
