The Cleveland Browns signed defensive end Jamal Davis to the practice squad on Wednesday.
Davis will be familiar to fans of the Mid-American Conference after playing his college ball at the University of Akron.
The 6-foot-3 and 245-pound Davis was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Houston Texans in 2019. He did not make the Houston roster, and spent time last season on the practice squads of the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans.
Davis eventually signed with the Miami Dolphins, where he appeared in three games and played 12 snaps on defense and four snaps on special teams without recording a stat.
