The Cleveland Browns announced Tuesday evening that they’ve signed former Bengals DT Brandon Thompson to a contract.
Thompson takes the roster spot of DL Desmond Bryant, who was released in a corresponding roster move.
Thompson, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Bengals back in 2012. He was in the final year of his contract and set to make a base salary of $775,000 for the 2017 season when the Bengals elected to cut him loose on Sunday.
In 2015, Thompson appeared in nine games and recorded eight tackles and a half sack.
