The Cleveland Browns signed defensive tackle Eli Ankou off the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad on Tuesday.
Ankou, who is 6-foot-3 and 325 pounds, has spent the past three seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Ankou was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Houston Texans out of UCLA. He appeared in 11 games with the Jaguars and posted 19 tackles and 1.5 sacks while spend much of his time on the team’s weekly inactive list, according to Jaguars Wire.
Jacksonville released Ankou during their final roster cutdown, but resigned him to the practice squad and Ankou has resided their through the first seven weeks of the season.
