Fourteen players tried out for the Browns during rookie minicamp this past weekend, and cornerback Eric Patterson is the only one to earn a contract thus far.
The Browns announced Monday they signed Patterson, bringing their roster to the maximum of 90 players.
The 5-foot-9, 200-pound Patterson entered the NFL last year as an undrafted free agent with the New England Patriots. The Ball State product appeared in two regular-season games with the Indianapolis Colts and another with the Rams. He compiled three tackles.
Patterson, 23, also spent nine weeks on the Rams' practice squad and one week on the Colts' practice squad.
