The Browns settled for two field goals from inside the 10-yard line and trailed the New York Giants 14-6 at halftime Sunday at FirstEnergy Stadium.
The Browns' defense did its part early by holding the Giants scoreless during their first four possessions.
But the offense handed the Giants a gift with the game's first turnover.
On first-and-10 from Cleveland's 25, Browns running back Isaiah Crowell ran for 3 yards and lost a fumble. Defensive tackle Damon Harrison forced the fumble. and strongside linebacker Devon Kennard recovered it at the Browns' 31 with 7:45 left in the second quarter.
