The Cleveland Browns are heavy spenders. That has been true since GM Andrew Berry took over and was given, seemingly, carte blanche, with Jimmy Hasalam’s checkbook. With the recent extension for LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, the Browns lead the league in big contracts.
Despite all those big deals, Berry was still aggressively trying to acquire WR Brandon Aiyuk while training camp was going on. While a former executive has a strong opinion on that pursuit, obviously Cleveland is still willing and able to spend money despite others having concerns about their salary cap.
