The Cleveland Browns announced their initial 53-man roster on Tuesday. While getting a few players back healthy was important, RB Nick Chubb heading to the PUP list to start the year was the biggest storyline. While the Browns seemed to be aware of Chubb not being available to start the season when they updated his contract, the team’s initial roster only having two running backs (and tight ends) on it was a shock.
Along with the limited numbers at those two positions, Cleveland’s choice to keep all four quarterbacks was surprising and seems to point towards a future move, likely a trade.
