Cleveland Browns rookie wide receiver Antonio Callaway was cited for possession of marijuana and driving a suspended license at 2:59 a.m. Sunday, August 5th.
The news was first reported by Tony Grossi of ESPN Cleveland and Nick Kovach of Fox 8. There has been no statement from the Browns as of yet.
The 21-year-old was pulled over on Howe Road in Strongsville after failing to yield for oncoming traffic.
Officers found a small amount of marijuana under the driver’s seat. Callaway is set to appeared in Strongsville Mayor’s Court Thursday morning.
Callaway was promoted to starting wide receiver yesterday, this after the team traded former first rounder Corey Coleman to the Buffalo Bills Sunday evening for a future seventh round pick.
